Mine developed a crack on the passengers side header within the first year, but ATR took care of it no problems. Others I know have had no problems with theirs. The headers are expensive but they are also very well made. All the welds are ported smooth on the inside for maximim air flow. The workmanship is outstanding, as you'll see when you get yours.
I have a set new in the box We are going to sell. After the turbomotion problems I am going to convert over to the 86/87 set up and don't need them any more. I tried to trade out with ATR for a set of 86/87's but they would not do it. I plan on having the vender I got them from try ATR himself and if that does not work I will sell them on the board. I will say this they look great.
What is the difference between Jet Hot and HPC coatings? I asked the local coater if they could coat mine to look like polished aluminum and they said the only way they would do it is if they coated the inside with a race coating to keep the heat buildup down so the outside coating doesnt peel and crack.
HPC coats jet engines parts thus the heat isn't an issue. They also did not recommend coating the inside due to the fact if it ever peeled it may be sucked into the engine. We had the down pipe, cross over and headers as well as the turbo housing done at the same time. Went with this vendor due to highly recommended and they could use a coating that would not be effected by the heat disturbution. The only colors though were black and I think a grey for the real high temp coating.
