Hey guys, going to replace my sealed power double roller with stock style gear set w/tensioner.
I have heard of Cloyes P/N C-3018 (IS THIS CORRECT)???

What other brands (with P/N's please) are being used with satisfaction?

Thank you,

paul

I used the Poston single row chain and gears in salvageV6. Works fine for 3 years now.

GN got whatever my local mechanic could find. :D

I would like to get one locally, like a Dynagear, Cloyes etc. from one of the auto parts chains.
Comments please.

Autozone carries the Dynagear set, about $23. They also carry the tensioner and spring. Might want to get the new roller cam button if you don't already have one.

My Cloyes that I picked up at O'Reilly's is the C-3018K...Stock steel replacement chain and gears...

The stock steel replacement timing set of choice is either the Cloyes C-3018 (not -K since that is the economy) or Dynagear 73019. Both require the OEM tensioner. The Dynagear is cast gear and the Cloyes is a powdered metal.
The Dynagear is about 10.00 cheaper.

Just some info I dug up that might be helpful.
