It has been discovered that lots of the Comp 26918 beehive springs made after Jan 2006 have been breaking in the LT1 and LS1 motors.
I have several sets of the PAC1518 nitride treated springs, sets of 16, for sale. The nitrided springs usually cost over $300 for a set, I have several to sell for $200, new in box, never touched.
The nitride treated springs last much longer than the standard 1215 or Comp 26918 springs and they keep their seat pressures even after much abuse.
These are direct replacements for the Comp 26918's and use the same keepers and retainers.
Specs found here:
PAC-1518 Set of 16 - Beehive Springs by PAC Racing Springs
PAC was the original manufacturer of the beehive for Comp until Comp swithched manufacturers in Jan '06 to cut cost and then started having many problems with springs breaking.
These are usually a $100+ upgrade form the regular beehives which almost cost $200 in the first place, this is a great deal.
$200 includes shipping.
