Paint Chips

Do any of you find that your drag radials are causing paint chips by throwing rocks?

mine has chips all over it both from the front and rear tires. it was likely cheaply repainted in the past. Maybe get some of that invisible vinyl cover up stuff to try and mitigate the issue?

my preferred method is to not care at the moment. and a black permanent marker (not a sharpie) when I care a little bit.

I use mud flaps attached with those black office binder clips. Not a problem since.

The paint is origninal. But I think my problem is I DO worry too much!

I don't blame you! the mudflap idea is a good one too...

you could always install a line lock... then do nasty huge burnouts until the bottom of the quarters are covered in rubber. that would probably protect it for a while

all kidding aside, I think the clear vinyl shield would be a pretty decent way to control the chipping. it certainly seems durable according to the door sills on our dodge magnum that have had that stuff on them for a few years.

Just the forward facing lip of the rear bumper... I am certain that having 100mm wider tires than stock isn't helping.
