Anybody know the correct trim paint for the gray on the face of the plastic bezel that goes over the instrument cluster on an 86 GN and also the interior plastic trim like the top of the dash. Thanks

SEMA Paint

If I am understanding you correctly you should use the SEMA grey. I'll have to look at the can I used to redo all interior plastic. It was manufacutured by SEMA you can actually buy it from Poston's.

In the process of swapping bezels. The one I bought to cut up needs paint. What have you guys used that looks close to factory?

Jim, was this for the gauge bezel or the other interior plastic parts like panels and pillars? The gauge bezel is dark

Warp6, your right, that bezel is a slate gray like the pull strap screw covers. What paint matches it I don't have a clue as I've never tried to paint one of those. I'd be interested if you find a match?? Mike

Sorry, it is for the interior plastic and vinyl pieces. If you find the paint code or a paint you like go to U-Pol. They can inject the paint code into arousal cans.

I painted all the plastic on my interior with the rattle cans from G-Body Parts. I also used it on the steering column, glove box, dash cover, horn ring etc. I cleaned all the plastic with plastix cleaner and tuff stuff before painting. Looks great.

I just bought a can of the dark blue interior paint from G Body but I have to admit, it was REALLY hard to justify $20 bucks for a 12 oz can of aerosol paint and then an additional $20 for shipping.

I think I used SEM charcoal metallic 39033 on the bezel . Interior gray should be SEM presidio 15163. Black exterior trim is SEM 39143 . SEM is the best paint I have found. You can buy it at Carquest and most parts stores that sell auto body paint and supplies

I will say that G Body changed the shipping to only $7.50 and credited my Paypal the difference.

That was a nice surprise. :D

Hey look, I quoted my own post.

I'm Heisenberging!!!!!!!!!!!!:hilarious:
