Thanks to a hit and run I have to replace my impact cushion and get a tiny piece of the bumper painted (driver's side). Got me wondering if I should paint the front and rear bumpers black?! ? As you can see from my car's pics (see sig) the trim is blacked out and I'll be swapping those WeldDragLites off for some beautiful powder coated stock T wheels that'll have black on 'em to match the trim!

Just looking for opinions! ..... maybe I can go WH1 style with black and red.....hmmmm

just for kicks

Is anyone out there good at with a graphics program? I want to get an idea of what a TR would look like with a black and red WH1 paint job both black top red bottom and red top black bottom! (If possible, use a red close to the dark red on my car)

TIA!!

Got the front black bumper pput on..will have pics when I have the matching rear black bumper and T wheels on next week! (Talk about a run on sentence!) ;)

First I agree with you on Brian Weavy.Second I am an illustrator.

What kind of workup where you looking for?

I'll look at your wording again. But to anwer your first question.

I would go with the Black.........

Yeah, I think I miss worded it! I didn't mean the exact carbon copy of the WH1... I meant having the whole lower half black (including fillers and bumpers) and keeping the upper half the current color(including trunk, hood, header panel)

What do you think? ;) :D I think it's sexy!! Already got the front black bumper on, going to get the rear and the fillers soon and get a quote from Maaco... looks good! I'll get my hands on a digital camera n show it off

DEsigner black and red - I saw a car advertised a couple years ago in MI that the owner claimed was an original 86 designer T (with t-tops) with the metallic red substituted for the silver....looked gorgeous if I remember correctly...expensive price at the time. I had never heard of the combination before... anybody ever seen one or know about the possibility of it being an original?????.... Any way I liked it go for it Nero....There might be some line drawings of t-types out there you could import into a paint program for experiments. good luck....

A thought

Looked at your photo.Nice car!

I could take a photo I have on file. And use my program.

To make it the way you've explained.

Would be easier for me to e-mail it too you.

But my gut thoughts on the combination.Which I never have seen

Would be to go for it.Deep red. Only beause in 87' a Buick dealership near where I live now.Had 5 cars.3 GN's and 2 T's done by a body shop.In BMW red. My stepfater worked on these cars. And in 91' Was shopping and went to see one.It was the T model.

Guy even had 1/4 gallon of touch up paint.....Didn't like the car in bright red. Gray interior.Car was nice though....
