let me see tomorrow if my buddy still has one he'll let go. He bought a set for his gn before it got painted, but put newer 87 monte mirriors on the gn. I'll let you know, i'm sure he'll sell it. But alot of g-bodys have that mirror, just not all of them have the remote cable. Pontiac's, malibu's, el camino's, monte's etc. they all have that mirror, cutlass etc.

I doubt that the cable is a separate service part.

The cables seem to get destroyed when a paint shop has a car in for paint. The solution for removing a remote mirror, must be to pull hard until something gives. I went through the same issues on a GN and the best solution was to replace the entire assembly.

It was still available new a year ago, but you will have to check with a GM dealer. Otherwise, there are some excellent parts vendors on this board.

RH-20239665 and is discontinued. Looks like boneyard time. It was used on all 78-88 G-bodies except the 86-88 Chevys.
