Before I yank this thing out of the GN...

I need to assure everything works first (despite the blown headgasket)

I found the bracket and relays off the passenger fender missing...

IIRC... From my 86 Manual....

#7 ESC (flat 4 plug)
#3 Fuel Pump relay
#13 A/C compressor relay

There is also one more that looks like it should be a MAP sensor... (has the three wires and the vacuum hose connection)

Help?...

That's the MAP for your dash boost gauge. Stock is a 2 bar MAP.
And "Thanks again" for the "Secret Parts" :)

Thanks Guy...

Youre very welcome for the parts...

You didnt get mommas car dirty did you?...

Now... anyone got extras of these components laying around?... (I'll need the bracket as well)

Thinking about this... I should only need the FP relay and the ESC... right?... or do I even need the ESC to assure it starts?...

Hey Rob,
Sorry, the weekend got busy so I wasnt able to swing by. The weekdays dont look good either.

As far as your sensors go, I am pretty sure that you need the ESC to start as it deals with the spark timing. I believe that I had some spares but, Id have to look when I get a chance or you can "borrow" them for now until Tommy needs them for his car?? Id have to get his permission ;) . Will let you know ASAP.

Thanks guys...

Derek... the Olds is gone, but the GN still remains...

I was afraid I would need the ESC to start... dammit... but I need the FP relay too, so well see...

I will be unavailable through the weekend, but will be off Mon/Tues/Weds Next week...

Let me know

Thanks again...

Rob

Derek... I just want to see if it runs... so "borrow" is fine...

Hey Rob,
Sorry Ive been busy but, I know that I have them on my other car and Ill try and pull them today so that you can "borrow" them. Is there anything else you need while Im pulling those items??? Let me know.

Thats all I nee to see if it willl start... then I can take it apart to do the HGs, check it's running condition and then start the transplant...

THis car STILL has the crossflow exhaust...

gotta figure why it toasted the HGs in the first place...

Sorry, I didnt get around to pulling them out yesterday. As far as why it toasted the HG's, it was probably too much boost (check for adj. wastegate), failed thermostat causing it to overheat (or something else that failed in the coolant system), maybe a high octane (advanced timing chip) with pump gas, failing fuel system causing the engine to run lean or just low octane fuel with boost. Will try my best to get those parts to you ASAP.

Best I can tell, the car is completely stock... (just how I wanted my baseline) Though in reality, I should have kept the one I got from you... but sht happens...
