Where exactly is the PCV located and what does it connect to? The car came with a K&N cone and the canister has been removed. I know the valve covers are black with Buick Motorsports lettering. Did the stock valve covers have a hole for the PCV?

I have not had the car titled yet in my name, wanted to make sure the car is running fine before it is inspected. We do have emissions test the car would need to go through in Texas.

Would I have a better chance of passing the emissions test with the canister and PCV?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks of r the reply Drew. Can you tell me where did the other end of the PCV connect too? I think I may need to do this in order to ensure I pass the emissions test.

The other end of the line goes to the biggest vac line coming off the top of the throttle body.

The other half of the PCV system is the vent or breather. It includes a breather filter (attached to the front og the passenger side valve cover) with a hose that connects to the turbo inlet. If the technician doing the test is required to do a visual inspection (and he/she is going to do the job right), your car will fail visual if the PCV or EVAP is missing or disconnected. Besides, the PCV and EVAP doesn't have a negative effect on performance. The PCV re-circulates combustion gasses back through the engine to be burned. And the EVAP sends excess fuel vapors (from the fuel tank) into the intake tract to be burned. By the way, if your EVAP is disconnected or missing, where are the fuel vapors going? Collecting in EVAP cannister and leaking or vaporizing under the hood? Or is cannister completly gone and the vapor line allowed to vent in the engine compartment. Nothing like letting fuel vapors accumulate in the engine compartment with a Buick ignition system and all you need is a spark leak and CAR-B-QUE

Thanks for the reply gofstbuick! That was my concern as well and guess what, my canister is missing. I need to get this taken care of before the emissions test, thanks.
