ok so... last week i took the vacuum that comes from the pcv to the vacuum block off i plugged the vacuum block outlet.. and ran a fab'd up oil catch can breather everything was fine i drove 2 days no problem except for a hot oil stench...but nothing in catch can.. i read up on it here and some people say it is critical to have the vacuum sucking from the pcv to ventilate crankcase pressure..do i need to run the pcv to the vacuum on intake?? also i noticed it sucks very hard causing the pcv to suck up some oil... i noticed because i ran a clear silicone line and i see oil in the line...without getting on any boost.. i took the line off while car on and it sucks like vegas prostitute... so is it necessary to run the vacuum from the intake or can i run the pcv to a oil catch can breather and plug the vac block outlet??

Some builders delete the PVC entirely...They tap the intake manifold and replace the pvc with a bolt.
The vacum line is removed and the unused vacum port is also sealed. Valve cover breathers do the venting. The only problem
is the car may not meet Emisson requirements in some states.

not a good idea to mess with the factory setup on a regularly driven street car...at least in theory...pcv helps keep oil cleaner...albeit by burning some as well but over all the pcv is more than just for emissions...if your wanting to really help the factory setup I would consider using it as designed but with whatever catch can setup to control the oil...im considering running a breather with hose back to intake pre-turbo similar to the OE setup from passenger valve cover to inlet bell (only with a catch can in between)...this would help in-boost ring seal and lessen oil leaks etc....but this is a little bit different than the pcv's purpose

Leave it unhooked and dont look back, Mine has been ran to a catch/breather can for two years and it is one of my daily drivers. People wont convince me that the motor cant breathe without the PCV hooked up, It has a breather in each valve cover.

That might expalin the oil I find in the intake. I thought my turbo was blowing oil through the intercooler and through the inlet pipe. I may try disconnecting the PCV vacuum and see if the oil goes away.
