performance of stock headers

Since i have little money and i cant get the headers yet i thought i would write this. What is the fastest someone has want with the stock 85 headers. With the set up at the bottom i think the stock headers are going to kill my performance , butr how fast can i go with these till i get the after market headers . How about the stock cross over to is it good or bad. should i look into a better one when i do the headers.

Lee Thompson is running stock headers that are port matched and he cut the flanges off that the crossover bolts to and make a better flange on them that are less restrictive.

a stock 86-87 cross over is single walled and is bigger on the inside than the hotair ones and will bolt up.

look at your crossover pipe and see if it is double walled mine was so it looks the same on the outside but is smaller inside where it counts.
