PEVR, Got one, now what

Found a valve that is complete, was taken off the intake. Now, how do I tell if it's a good one? Is the a vaccumn test for it? There is circulation between the two ports, but nothing directly from the bottom. As always, awaiting your recommendation.

you would have to ask carlie how to test it. i dont think this one is hooked up right i saw this on the board a while back. i hope this might help. btw where did you find the pevr i have been looking for one two years now.

I'll see if I can scan the hookup diagram from the Buick service manual I have that shows proper hookup of the PEVR ... will try to get that done tomorrow

Here ye go ... PEVR testing procedure and correct vacuum connection diagram straight out of the '79 service manual I have. Should be noted that in vacuum diagram the PEVR is labeled PEC valve for "power enrichment control valve" I think...
