I'm moving from NE Ohio to South Carolina next month to get ready for the '05 Pro Mod season. So, it's Monster Garage time for the Buick to get ready. Lemme know what you think...

very nice looking!!!!

maybe provide a few details with turbo, intercooler and injectors??

if only i could find a place where they sold those in a crate and cheap :)

compliments again

What a sanitary engine! It looks absolutely great. You really paid attention to detail. If it performs anywhere near as well as it looks, it will be a great accomplishment.

The turbo is stock, but I disassembled it, stripped the pieces, etc. The intercooler is a Duttweiler-necked stocker that I ground smooth, filled, and coated with Eastwood Radiator Black. Injectors are 009's.

The headers and downpipe were stripped and coated with DupliColor high-temp paint. Before painting, I used Eastwood Prep, and cured them at 350 deg. for an hour. After coating, I cured them in the oven at 450 deg for 2 hours. It seems to have come out nicely.

wow that thing looks incredible, every bolt is perfect lol. Good luck with it hope it runs well:cool:

it looks Marvelous absolutely marvelous :D , i love it you definetly outdid yourself, i have never seen a better looking stock motor
congrats!:)

Looks Great!!
Now stop posting about it and go put it in the damn car:)

That's gotta be the best looking turbo Buick motor I've seen in a while.

Really clean and fine detailing. Now install the last clamp at the up pipe to the intercooler, and it will be done.

Mitch

More kudos to you. I'd love to have my motor looking that clean right now!

Damn it, I spent a few hours on a top-end piece that no one's noticed yet; although, maybe that's a good thing, that it's not obvious. Look here closely:

You'll know it when you see it...Anyone??

Also, I'm wondering if i should redo the up-pipe in a brighter/lighter color. I'm thinking that the Detail Gray doesn't look right. Thoughts?

I haven't caught it but I do notice no oil on the lower intake. :D Did you polish the ribs on the upper plenum?

Yes. I also ground and smoothed the upper and lower intake parts, filled as necessary, primed, re-sanded, etc...too bad the lower intake is so covered up.

But that's not the customized piece. :)

that is what i was thinking or something to do with the temperature gauge in the left hhand side of the lower intake... something along those lines that is very hard to see!
