This has been 4 plus years in the making, we both moved and teh project went dormant for a while. But nonetheless its back up.

Bud which is a interior guy just finished up the fronts. The upper pic sux as its blurry. Pics dont really do justice.

A slight spin off the original style, grandpa piping omitted & done in tweed. Door panels are next should be done this week.

That is going to look so bitch'in!!!! I love the idea of the tweed done up in the stock pattern!

Kinda sorry that I already have a complete interior upholstery kit ready to go into mine from GBodyParts.com.........

John

Are you having the upper door panels and rear side panels done in tweed too?

I'm guessing that you have an obviously talented local upholstery guy doing this for you?

Please keep the pics coming of your progess. If a nation-wide commercial outfit were to offer a GN interior upholstery in tweed, I'd be all over it in a heartbeat after seeing your seats!

Thank again!
John

Yeah teh door panels and panels to the sides of teh rear seat as well are tweed.

Removed the long chrome strips and pull handles as I never really cared for them and saw a GN with them removed once and thought it looked real clean.

Plus teh chrome was peeling a lil here and there.

Tossed around the word "BUICK" in the door panels but just settle for clean simple look. The door panels will have the exact same pleating as stock.

Carpet is coming out this weekend. Another friend is doing the headliner and visors for 100 bucks.

I'm debating the same issue with the upper pulls/chrome trim on my car too. My pulls & trim are not real bad, but not perfect either. I don't know if it would look good with completely new upholstery and not-so-perfect door pull trim.........

I'd spring for the GBody aluminum trim if it wasn't so darn expensive, though.

Thanks again- And keep those pics coming!!

John

Hopefully putting most of it in teh car this weekend. Weather permitting.. ..tons of rain as of late

Poor quality but gives you an idea. Im loving IT!!! Will post up more soon
