Buffing

See how much clear was put on before you start. Burning through or getting clear too thin will destroy the paint job for said part. I'd pay the guy $165 and tell him there is an extra 50 if there is no orange peel and he doesn't burn through.

can I ask you how much he charges for such a paint job? I would be willing to go back home for something like that considering that california is crap for paint jobs

Man you suck. It's bad enough how bad I want to get a GN as it is!

Awesome paint job, looks like its coming out real nice. Can't wait to see some completed pics.

if i tell you, you would'nt believe me:D , i'm going to tell you but remember i sanded the car down mostly by myself, but german (the guy who painted my car) and his assistant (alex) did help me sand it down properly and i purchased the paint which i got a good deal on, he only charged me $300 for spraying the car plus $50. for use of the spray booth, i will say he help'd me out alot i feel i owe him more than that, he help'd me sand the car down, he straight'nd out my front bumper, he applied primer for me and he took care of some rust issues and of corse he painted my car:)
he did this in part cause my brother takes his car that was in an accident to him, but when i asked he told me that for a little over $1k he would do all the work, sanding, buying the paint (which was a bit expensive but good) trust me i will never sand down another car! too much dam work and you never get everything right, german is a freat guy and he will help anyone with a gn ( i took him for a ride his face was like:D ) all the help he gave me and never once asked for more cash, he even turned me down when i said i would pay him extra for the bumper, try finding a guy like that. If you ask me pablo whenever you come back call me up i'll be more than happy to take you to him, and he gave the paint job 3 coats and 4 coats of clear, he said that way when they buff it it will still shine i love it:) :) :)

thanks for the info klrv6, and thanks ponykiller:) , thanks alot guys i wish you could feel the way i do, i know it's stupid but my last gn was stolen and it never looked as good as this one does, it's been a long road i had to wait 3 years to save up the money ( i own a money pit--i mean a house:D ) i just wanted to say a hearty felt thanks guys:)

The car lookd great! The only thing I would have done different is take more of the trim off before it was shot. It came out looking nice and thats what matters.

Not trying to tell you how to run your life, but I never let my cat smoke in bed... they fall asleep too easily. You're lucky the house didn't burn down.
