If anyone has time in Reynolds could you take some pics(lots)and post on here next week.Some of us are far North and it is snowing already.The pics will help releive the depresion.Thanks good luck to all have a safe weekend.

And I hope someone has video of Don Cruz's round #2 Qualifying pass... My little wheelie above pails in comparison, he was on a MISSION!
 
Hey Tom, I was unable to fix it. Had a couple other TSM racers who had hurt their cars offer to lend me their driveshafts, however I believe I had the only car with a TH350 trans and 8.5" Rear, most others have a 400, and the driveshafts are different lenghts with different yokes. :mad:

I should have known this aluminum shaft was not going to last forever, when I have them make the replacement steel unit, I will have them make 2 so I have a spare on the trailer just in case.
 
It figures you travel all that way for one pass, that sucks!!!!
Maybe I'll come get that trophy now. LOL

What diameter was the drive shaft?
We went into the 8s with a 3.5 or 4 inch Aluminum.
I think molly is another option if you want to consider it.

3.5" Aluminum. The weld itself did not fail, but rather it sheared the tube itself. Here is a carnage photo:
