Does anybody have a picture of M/T DR's size 255/50 15 on a stock GN wheel on your car? Thinking about getting these but wanted to see them on the rim first if possible....thanks -john

I don't think MT makes a 255/50 R15, mine are 255/60 DR's. These are mounted on a Weld 15x8 rim. Traction is great, I have 60' 1.58 and gone 10's with a soft launch. Here are some pics:

Sorry, not on a stock wheel! They would bulge out slightly more with a stock 7" rim but will fit the wheel well perfectly.

looks good, thats what I'm worried about the "bulge factor" can't stand the way that looks.....should not be to bad being just 1 inch thinner

I'll post a pick of mine tomorrow. They're on stock GN wheels. I love them.

1.67 60ft on a 12.20 pass.

The tires are wearing great, they have lasted two full seasons with LOTS of street driving and abuse. No need for a big burnout when heating them at the track, I know a couple of people locally that believe in the " get them nice and hot theory" then complain about them not lasting

255-60-15
is what i am looking to put on the chevelle with Monte SS wheels.

BTW 87GN_D
that car looks good.

just ordered me a set about 2 hours ago from summit. cant wait to get them on. im moving up from MT ET Streets from 2001

I switched from ET streets 27x"10.5" to these MT DR's, Night and Day..these tires really do hook up that much harder and handle well on the street.

What BS are the wheels? Car looks great!

Just left summit's site and saw they have 235/60 15...which is what I'm running now and really like the look.....does anybody know what the performace differances would be between the 255 and 235?

The 255's are better for running 11's than the 235's, because they are taller, and will allow more mph.

Also, taller tires are easier to hook when its slick than shorter tires.

If I had to chose between the 2, no question I would go with the 255's.

I have 235/60/15 BF Goodrich Comp TA's all around. I was told that the Comp TA's are discontinued.

Can anyone tell me if the Comp TA's came in 255's?

They definitely came in 255/60-15. It was a popular size "back in the day". If you google it, you'll see plenty of cars with them on it.
