Which one ran the yellow Mustang? I watched the qualifying for about 20 minutes online and caught that one run. The Mustang got him off the line, but the GN ran him down at the top end.

I think I know who owns that car. Anyone get any pictures of that run, or the the first run off the day. I had a blast with my wifes car!!!!!!!!!!

Who's GN was that in the wheelie contest. Made a nice pass but didn't pull the wheels. I think he went 10.5x. Really nice looking car and sounded perfect. I was wondering what happpened on the first try. He ran out about 100ft and stopped and did it again. I was standing at the 1/8th and couldn't tell what happened

my wifes car

The car ran good all weekend after I found an alternator charging issue which arose on Friday after the burn out box. Friday was to be the first time this car has made a full ¼ mile pass since the frame off restoration. It had 8 1/8th mile passes on it. 4 driven by my wife, and 4 driven by me. The base fuel map in the XFI was really close.

Friday evening the alternator charging issue is repaired. I make the pass, it runs an identical number to what it did last weekend at Bunker hill, and it goes 1.47 60 foot, 10.20 @ 130.33 mile per hour on its first ¼ mile run. I was pumped. Next I review the data log, and everything looked good.

Saturday morning I turn the launch boost up one pound. Bring it to the lanes. I have to get violent with the car because the converter is about 300 RPM to tight. I wait for the two step to pop twice and I let go of the trans brake button. The wheels come up, and keep coming up, the shift light blinks and I pull for second gear, then third.

It ran a 1.41 60 foot and went 10.16 @ 131.76 MPH.

I found this picture. I wish some one had another one of it.

Not sure what it ran against the Mustang because I did not get a time slip. It pulled the wheels again on this pass. Here is a photo of it just past the 330 mark.

We were down in St. Louis with the Gantner Racing Team brothers and all their friends. They are all conning me into entering the wheelie contest. Finally I say if I get a time slip I’ll run the car.

I go up and put my helmet on, tighten up the belts and make my run. I release the trans brake and the boost dropped. I back it up and try again. Same thing happens again. I let off and then decide to floor it, and run it out the back door. I let the Buick guys down I was not feeling good about that.

I realized what happened when I reviewed the data log. I lifted my foot of the pedal as soon as the car took off. I did not have the seat far enough forward. Lesson learned the hard way.

Car goes back to the wife now.

hey that was a nice gn the crowd love for you to the second try on the wheelie contest agian nice gn

You get an A+++ for effort on the wheelie. That was a cool move on the high5s down the return road. Good PR for the Buick guys. Everyone around me was saying what a clean car you have and even my wife liked it and she hates my Buick. Good show and good times. I hope you guys from out of town had a good experience in STL.
