What a stupid show, i caught the tail end of the show.........host says ''if anyone want to race either of these cars get in touch at our website'' (or something like that) while looking at the guy who supposedly just lost his car...........givaway that it's all staged.

What ever happend to "run what you brung"? All that bit*hin about NOS and car lengths sucked!

I used to street race   and we never took that long to get it done.................

At least they could have had some hot hooters chick to start the race ;)

If you guys don't understand the negotiations that go down before a street race then you don't know much about street racing.

See the one motorcycle and car in my signature that say Bimota SB8RS and Z-28???? Street race losers that I took home on a trailer as new rides. I know what I was doing..........the others did not :D

We never took that long to get it done because it was done in one race not the best out of three like the TV show. It took longer to get the car after a win.

I always thought too much neg. was going on and left it up to my partner. I never gave a spot to a car and never asked for one. If you know what you are doing and have confidence with your car..... not to worry at all. (You should always do your homework at the local tracks ;) ) This guess work with car spots and no-nitro vs. nitro is bull. Run what you brung and line it heads up. If you’re not fast enough to keep up with another car and need a spotting then don’t do it.

BlownZ, your signature quote is perfect......Life is Tough...it's even tougher when you are stupid. - John Wayne

That isn't street racing.....at least not the kind of street racing we are referring to. These kind of deals go down all over this country every night.

Half the skill in racing is being able to negotiate. If it's all run what you brung then the richest guy there wins.

Gay, and the people from Chicago got their cars back, It's all staged and the host is a tool!

So they really don't lose their cars? Seems to me that undermines the whole premise of the show.

I saw the Chicago one today (Tivo'd it). That host has got to go. He doesn't know jack about anything automotive and it shows. Find a hardcore streetracer for the job. Who says things like "ambassadors of racing" and "heat up your wheels" (referring to the burnout - um, it's 'tires'). Then the one crew was trying to explain to him what the nitrous does.

I think the Dustin guy got the short end of the stick, but the host was being a d!ck about it. So he negotiates no nitrous but does not specifiy that Tony had to dismantle the nitrous system. So Tony sprays on him. Where's the honor? Plus Dustin brought a knife to a gun fight.

I guess it was mildly interesting - maybe it'll get better with age?

The comment about the richest guys will win is not true. Sure you can pour a bunch of money into a car but if you dont know what your doing your going to lose. Seems to me if you have the balls to put up your ride you better know everything about the guy your racing. Negotiations and loop holes in whats said can probably get you hurt real bad or worse. Also I am not trying to start any arguments but being able to negotiate is not half of street racing. 60 percent driver/40 percent car. ;)

The guy calling out the camaro was asking for land,WTF?

You don't call a guy out and then ask for a spot.

I always had a few rules when I negotiated.

#1 Never call anyone out...let them come to me.

#2 it cost $100 to look under my hood, and no you do not get it back if you decide not to run.

#3 I am not in real estate, but if you want land...its $100 a length, you can have it back IF you win.Oh,and BTW "I get the hit"

#4 never brag, just say "I got lucky" ( I try not to win by too much, could get you shot if the other guy is a sore loser) Make it as close as I can and still win.

I always keep an eye out for the guys that talk alot of trash.Have a buddy watching with a stop watch, its not exact but it will get a close idea of what they are running, and if it changes (I.E. he has started to use his juice).

I never hit them with all I have, save some for the good run.I usually know what I have covered, but you never know what they have.

Thats TX style negotiations.I don't need no more cars so you can keep your junk...especially if I beat it.

This pinks show should be called PUNKS instead.

I agree with notplayn I build the cheapest motors I can and beat expensive ones all the time.My TA motor is my first real expensive setup ever.

When i visited that page i was hoping to see something worth while but i didnt.

However, when i saw one of the racers there was named Ron White, i assumed i would see the comedian Ron White who was funny, not funny looking.

Here you go folks, the new drag racing king/queen Ron White....http://www.pinks.tv/team.php?racer=7&page=0

How fitting since the name of the show is Pinks, i think it Stinks! :D

Bunch of sissy/girly mans

From that web site:

Rich Christensen
Executive Producer/Host/Creator - PINKS
Age: 41
Home State: Iowa
Marital Status: Married
Occupation: Television Producer
Description of PINKS: American Graffiti meets Reservoir Dogs
Christensen Quote: "PINKS is very quickly becoming less and less about losing a vehicle. It's becoming much more about truly testing every ounce of your racing ability in the ultimate pressure cooker. I am extremely proud of the racers who have already stepped up to appear on PINKS, they are true men of courage and honor. And for those of you who keep ripping me and the show on the forum,

do me a huge favor and go F yourselves - you are all so clueless that I almost feel sorry for you."

Gotta love that attitude, LOL. Anyone care to wager on how long he or the show lasts with that attitude?. And, surprise-surprise, the Forum is down.

An amazing driver in a slow car will not beat an average driver in a very fast car unless he "negotiated" very well.

When I say rich...I mean not kidding type rich. If it's all run what you brung you will lose to this guy any day of the week.

Rich....is defined a professionally built and tuned car.....a skilled driver usually pilots the car for the owner...they are trailered to the racing site....and they can clean the clock of any "run what you brung" schmuck that doesn't know what he just walked into.

Yes I agree....when it comes to average joes.....a low buck motor in the hands of a skilled racer can clean the clock of much higher dollar stuff....but I don't use the term rich lightly.

You are right. Some of those big money guys are dead serious about winning. You would need one serious bad a$$ ride and some skill to compete with some of the guys I know of.Sick money, sick rides, and little regard for safety, just in the name of winning.

Us low buck guys just know exactly where the money needs to be spent and where it doesnt sometimes a little better than some of those rich boys.
