I've got 2 sets of pistons that are NOS and one I know are they are both TRW Forged but I was wondering the difference between them. One set is L2481F-30 which is a number I know but the others are L2471FX-30. Other than the pins they look exactly the same.
Same pin height ect but the pins in the 2471 are lighter and the ring grooves are closer together than the 2481 pistons. Are these the famed light weight TRW's I've heard about? The other difference I noticed is that the domes of the 2471's are machined vey nicely.
