trying to take off plenium and cant figure it out, im new to the mechanical part of this so i would really appreciate the help do you have to take the throttle body off to cuz i cant get it to slip off those bolts in it, thanks for any help

Josh-

No you don't have to take the TB off the plenum. You will have to remove the two coolant hoses from the bottom of the TB first. Throttle linkage, TV cable end, vacuum block bolts, linkage bracket amd 3 plenum bolts, and 2 studs. Need help, I can come by after work tomorrow.

I think it's easier to remove the plenum if you remove the TB first. Thay way you son't have to screw with the coolant lines, cables, etc. Just remove the vac block from the TB, and the cable holder bracket and the TB should move enough to get the plenum out.

On the other hand, this is a good opportunity to clean the TB. I just did mine last weekend for the first time and it made made a big difference in idle and tip-in.
