Bolt on a set of GN-1's, big puffer, FAST and hold it to the mat! All while using your stock accs, etc... You will be limited to 800 HP unless you go with 4340 pieces:D

I hope the new TA heads perform as well or better than the GN1s. Over the years, I have heard so many discussions on getting service from Champion that I think it would be nice to have an alternative. Might even improve the custormer service from Champion.

$5k sounds a little cheap for a block, good crank, rods and pistons, but I would think it was a pretty good deal. :)

I think so too. It didn't even pop into my mind to talk about the heads when I had them on the phone the other day but I should have. Ball park prices given:

-Block: $3,300 (TA)
-Crank: $600 (TA)
-Rods: $600 (TA)
-Pistons: $500 (Not TA)
-Roller Cam: $1,000 (Not TA)
-Aluminum Heads: $1,600 (TA or GN-1's)

$7600 for a long block.

Seems reasonable to me.

Nick, if the original blocks will take stock stroke only, what kind of bore will it go to?

With an aluminum block and heads, it should do wonders for the handling of a TTA or a GN. I'd feel safer with that block than my girdled 109 even if I never push it past the low 11s/high 10s. I would love to see how a TTA handled in the twisties with one of these combos.

That's a nice weight savings IMO. But do I understand right, it will be offered in an off-center version only, no on-center?
