hello everyone. sorry for taking so long to get back with everyone and thanx for all the great info! ok so.... the cat. converter is completely hollow so not that. all my hoses are tight. i know i need a scan tool very bad! anyone got one for sale??

oh also forgot! dont really smoke except the other night i got all over it and it was smoking kinda bad but it was dark so couldnt tell what color

Everyones new at some point Like others have said, get a "scanmaster". Do not go wide open throttle until you have one. It will damage your motor if your detonating Some form of monitoring is absolutely neccessary if you are opening up the throttle. Good luck!

just don't take advice very well....[7 responses, suggesting staying OFF the throttle]
The color you may see, if you don't stay off the throttle, is GREEN, as in "money green"...
Keep it up, and you'll find the weak link...
In addition to the scan tool, get a fuel pressure gauge, do a spring cleaning, check all vac lines and tie wrap them.
Maybe, find someone that has experience w/ these cars, that can help you get started.

SCAN TOOL!!! Do it, come on man, do it!!!!!! You know you want to, everybody else has one!!!! Oh, stay out of the throttle until you get it. All the answers will be revealed once you have a way of seeing what the car is telling you!!

Seriously though, why speculate/guess what it is. Get a scanmaster and it will tell you if it is fat or lean. It will also tell you all kinds of other nifty info. Do not spend another dime until you get one. Not even for gas.
