Hey guys, I have a quick question. This weekend I'n going to put in some new spark plugs on my new 85. I'm wondering what the reccomended gap is for the plugs (CR43TS). The motor is pretty much a bone stock 85. Thanks!!!

As you get more modded you might have to close it a bit. When I got quite heavy on the mods, mine would misfire above 13psi. I fixed it by closing the gap to .028. .035 is fine for most cars.

Easy choice. AC delco. CR43ts for moderate boost levels. CR42ts if you're really pushing it to the limit in mods and boost. With the 42s, if I drive it easy for long periods it starts to miss. A couple WOT blasts and it's fine again.

hey guys having a small problem this is the second time i change my plugs ( used the Ac Delco rapid fires thinkin they were those CR43TS u guys talk about ) and gapped at 45 and i didnt have any problems the first time, i was using old ass MSD 8.5 wires i had on there before ok so then comes the second time i decide to change the plugs went wit the same setup AC delco rapid fires gapped at 45 ran wit those old wires for about a week bfore the new ones came in once i installed the new wires they car started to misfire at times not all the time but it does sometimes so imwondering if its becuz i dont have them gapped at 35 wit newer better wires ? or i dont know wat it could be they recommended 45 ? but i see eevryone says 35 should i try 35 ? any tips or advice would be apprecited thanx sorry fr the long story lol just wanted to give a good pic

gap em smaller.. dont use rapidfires..

people recommend a few normal plugs for buicks:
ac delco CR42TS
ac delco CR43TS
NGK v-power UR5

...all gapped at .35 or less.

and thats about it.
