i just bought the PML low profile trans pan for my 2004R. i bought a 700R4 filter and i'm having trouble with it. i used 1 o ring and i have most of the bolts in except the ones closest to the engine. for some reason i can't get the pan to mate up to the transmission straight and even. it feels like the filter or something is hitting it near the front of the trans. the back i can bolt up no problem.

here is the pan:

If using the 700 filter you will have to grind down those standoffs in the bottom of the pan. How do you like the quality of the pan?

i like the quality of the pan but it isn't what i ordered. i ordered from art carr at cp transmissions and i will never be ordering anything there again. he told me the pan on his website was 2 quarts more than stock and when i got it i found out it was stock capacity. when i ordered the pan he said it was in stock and would ship out that day. he didnt have it in stock and shipped it a week later. i missed a wekkend of racing and a saturaday from the next weekend. never again.

the stands at the bottom of the pan are very very small. i got the pan on without grinding them down. i've seen pics of older pans and the stands are a lot higher.

for 250 dollars shipped i shouldnt need to grind anything.

So did you end up using the 700 filter? Don't see how if you did. If it was the wrong one why didn't you send back?
