mounts that replace the soft rubber strips @ the frame ends.

NE1 know of a vendor that may have such??

Or, NE1 have a neat idea to make the mounts solid??

Are you asking why you would replace the rubber mounts with poly? Well why wouldn't you? It will stiffen up the tranny mount for more positive shifts maybe even the chassis just alilttle . Less flex more power transferred to the wheels. Theoretically anyways...just like poly tranny mount or motor mounts.

why would you want to do this?

1. I'm installing an LS turbo drive train. I think a more stable support of the trans, [4L80E], is a plus. [The frame mounts are also being reinforced.]
2. The original parts are junk.

I made a set out of aluminum to replace the stock rubber pieces. :)

Or leave them out altogether and put a shim under the trans mount.

Nick, I'm leaning toward that idea....Thanks!
Mike, do you find increased vibration being transmitted to the seat?

Everything I own shakes rattles and rolls, added the motor mounts at the same time, and as a package yes I felt the engine more, driving down the road nothing bothers me vibration wise, but I don't bitch about drone either.

If you find your rubber pads got too soft after all these years, I have a good low-miles set...Let me know...
Claude.
