Pontiac G8 GT - Fuel Economy

Anyone else here have one these fine 4 door cars, please chime in.

Ron
RonBuick, I have a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT in Pacific Slate (blue). Typical fuel use 24mpg even in stop-go-crawl DC/Virginia traffic. Managed 32mpg on open highway no traffic going to Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia. Also proud owner of a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP....supercharged 3.8L L67 descendent of Grand National GNX.

Small world. My family are all around Idaho.

fluid, where abouts in Idaho do you have family?, I'm about 25 miles outside of Boise

Love my G8!

I got a grey 09GT with sport, sunroof and premium pkg new in April. I love the car! Ran 13.90 hot off the street at Norwalk, if I would have cooled it off and launched it a little better I'm sure it would've gone 13.70's baby seat and all:D It crushed my buddies 01 Cobra on the street.

Getting 18.5mpg avg and I obviously don't have a light foot:eek: I paid $26,650 with incentives which is freakin CHEAP for a new car of this caliber! I plan to modify this one pretty good just haven't decided which direction to go with it yet. I have 7k mile on it already and have no complaints. Sunroof creaked but went away with the warmer weather.

Wow, that is a great deal. Can you PM me with the details of your car ie; msrp and what those incentives are? If I could get a deal like that I'ld go for it.

MSRP was $34,110 I believe. I don't know what all the deals were at the time but I don't think you can get all the same deal now. I went to my buddy who is a salesman in Feb and told him I wanted one. He told me to wait and he would call when the time was right. He called in April and I went and picked the car up. If I could've found someone with a GMS# to use it would've been another $1000 cheaper. I got supplier pricing though which they will give to just about anyone. There was dealer cash and $5000 in rebates from GM at the time if I recall. I do believe you can still get them for under $30k which I would still buy one if I were in the market.
