I just recently bought a budget 87 turbo T with 60K on the clock. Not a bad car, clean Int. and fadded Grey paint. Very humble and a good daily driver that would make a good street sleeper. Car is all stock, untouched. Seems to run well, but have not been able to hammer it due to the ice and winter. Thats killllin me man!
Had to do a burn our in my shop just to get the monkey off my back.

I have the following parts to put on it that have accumulated on my shelfs over the years:

TE 32 or 34 can't remember which one? Bought from Bowling Green Cust in 93
36# inj and a 7th inj
single shot 3"
K&N Air filter
2800 stall converter
3200 stall vigalanti

I will most likley get a DP and a Alky kit.

I am looking for the biggest bang for the low buck. I own plenty of cars that I have pumped the Big bucks into, but I want to have fun with a cheap project.

I guess my biggest question is should I leave the stock turbo on and enjoy the quick spool or use my TE turbo? I am looking to have a solid mid to low 12s car. I have done that on other cars with a stock turbo and good flowing exhaust + chip/good fuel, etc.., they are a kick with a quick spool stock turbo.

How would my TE 32 do with the 3200 stall, overkill? Not sure.

Any advice would be appriciated.

Thanks,

Dennis

I would just get a bigger neck for the stock intercooler keep the stock turbo on and spray alky into it. Diffently should be able to get some low-mid 12s with some tuning...

A possible plan

Had a lower mile T sold a couple years ago. You're right they can be very fast stock turbo, 7.7s eighth, mid to low 12s quarter. Really quick for a mostly stock street car. My opinion for a quick, cheap, mostly stock car:

Dut neck, razor prog alky, dp, TT chip, your 3" exhaust, 275/60 MT DRs on some Centerline 8" rims/4" backspace, 215/75 fronts on 6" rim, maybe some boxed lowers with poly bushings and ATR bar. Now ready to drive it to the track for some nice times, moniter with EGT and scantool. Keep or sell the other parts. After you've had fun with the stock setup you can always add the ugrade turbo, converter, and injectors.
