when i put my DP elbow on my ta49 i saw that some of the edge of the DP elbow where it meets the turbine housing is covering the hole where the blades spin out the exhaust gas. not a lot but would porting this help. i already plan to port the DP elbow anyways.

Yes, every little bit helps. When porting an elbow for a larger turbo, the ceiling of the elbow will need to be raised to ensure it does not interfere with the outlet of the turbo.

After opening up the elbow outlet to donut gasket size, I also like to put a smooth short side radius in the floor, going down into the hole.

A curve has two sides:

A long side radius (the outside of a curve)

and

A short side radius (the inside of a curve)

If you polish the inside of the elbow, you are improving the long side radius.

If you radius (turn a sharp corner into a curve) the elbow floor to pipe transition, you are improving the short side radius.

I have one off my car that I no longer need, TH DP NOW,It is fully ported with the big puck if you wan't it $75 it's yours. E-mail me if you do.

thanks for the offer clean86 but i dont have the money for it now and wont anytime soon. i only get about 7 hours a week at my job making $6.00/hour:( plus i could probably benefit from the experience of doing it myself.
