Posi additive question

Guys,

Is it OK to use a different brand of posi additive other than GM. I went to Advance Auto and they carry a Trans-X brand but not sure I should use it.

that stuffs fine,should of bought synthetic gear lube and then you dont need the additive

Stick with the GM posi-additive.

I'd stick with the GM stuff. I use the ATR pre mixed stuff, that way I can top it off and not have to add friction modifier. I've learned the hard way that the GM stuff is about the best, and synthetic sucks.

Amsoil 2000 series 75/90w here. No additive needed.

go with the gm stuff, its like $8 a bottle. next time i'm only going to use 3/4 of the bottle, for some reason the posi lkes to slip a little bit, then grab. i see smoke from one wheel, then fell it grab the other, thats not right... and the posi is in very good shape.

I have used GM, Mopar, and Ford limited slip posi additive. They all work the same.
