Possible Core from 86 V8 Regal?

Thinking of attempting a build for a spare Trans using a 200 O/D out of an 86 V8 Regal. I guess the 1st question would be, is the bolt pattern the same on a 307 Olds engine as the V6 Buick? 2nd question is, what hard parts would need to be changed over, valve body, severo, etc, etc?

Same pattern. You will need the vb, servo, governor, and speedo drive and driven gears. You will need to replace some parts in the pump also. I would replace the slide spring, boost valves, and regulator spring in the pump. I would throw in a new seperator plate also since the one in there is probably worn out. The hard parts are all the same. Maybe only a different thrust washer in the rear of the transmission. Call Chris and get a shift kit from him. He has a good deal and it works well.
