Hi guys,
In the process of installing a used set of Poston's HA headers--got new Poston's copper gaskets as well...my question is do you use the original bolts or other new bolts--looking at the threads it appears about 1/4" of threads and I'm afraid when I start torquing the bolts I'll strip or ruin the bolt. Poston's headers are supposed to be replacements for the stockers, so yes, you should re-use the stock bolts...There are different length bolts in the different locations, so make sure you get them back where they're supposed to go...

If they are still made the same as a few years ago, they should...I'd have to go out and look at my set again to be sure, but I'm almost positive they are coated inside and out...

I'll reuse the original bolts--rechecked again today and held the gaskets tight against the flange and they will work--about the same as original manifolds other than I have the copper gaskets also now.

Have the same headers on my 85 gn, I bought new stock hardware from GM when I installed mine in 2005.
