Our roads are a mess, I feel like I’m never going to take my car out again. I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but here in New York City the winter has really destroyed our roads. It’s a real shame. I just don’t understand how the Department of Transportation or what ever Department that is in charge doesn’t realize when they use a big steel plow to push the snow, they are also tearing up our roads. I’m just venting, it’s just plain old stupid.

I feel your pain. Oahu is also always on that list of places with the worst roads...

Can't go 10' here in NH without dodging a pot hole.:arghh:

I hit a nasty one with my winter beater (see below) and bent the unibody-frame where the control arm mounts. :( Now my steering is off to the left.

NY roads suck. I tried filing a report with the cops. They said: "Tis the season for potholes! Nothing we can do!"

***I'm putting tubular upper control arms on the front of my GN. I wonder if they are tough enough for a sharp, deep hole. Has anyone snapped one?

Im not taking my car out till august. Nyc suks. Fdr,i87,i95 just too much. Havent been on bqe this season but I could only imagine

Potholes, where...? Come to Minnesota...Our slogan used to be Land of 10,000 Lakes,
now it's been changed to Land of 10,000 potholes...and that's just in one city!

So you can't even file a claim with the City if your car suffers damage as a result of the potholes?

The BQE in new york is moon-like. The GN stays in the garage.

You know what they say: "You can't fight City Hall."

They don't make it easy. They make it hard because they know there is a certain amount of people that give up due to the red-tape. I guess I am one of them. There is just so much other stuff to do,and would have to take time off from work to plead my case... Just drive a winter-beater and suck it up,I guess.

FYI in NY a brand new law was passed -- the city/state cannot be held liable/responsible for damage caused by potholes.
