powder coating ??

Will powder coating a stock intercooler effect its ability to cool the air, or would it be wise to just have the end tanks coated and leave the fins alone ?

I'm sure the powdercoating would be to thick for a good heat transfer on the ic. I would just use some black "radiator" paint like this from Eastwood http://www.eastwoodco.com/Departmen...y1=spc&Cat=Specialty+Coatings&SubCat=Radiator

Has good coverage and thin enough for the heat transfer.

polished

I suggest poilishing it I polished my friends I/C and it looks great and works better.The powdercoat will hold heat in and not let the alluminum dissipate the heat well.(WooHoo shiney parts rule)

Rough finish bare metal dissapates heat better than polished.
