Hey guys,

I am new to the gn's, I just purchased an 87 gn. The door locks don't currently work so I've been tracing and according to manuals the relay is in the ps kickpanel bottom access hole. This should be behind the ecm correct? If so, mine isn't there, removed ecm and inner kickpanel to find nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated......

Thanks
Mike

That's where they are, sitting in the square access hole, two connectors and a harness that should be held inside a clip right above that area.

Bracket bolts to the metal there just above the hole, see if it's got a self tapping screw hole there.

Look for RPO code AU3 on the trunk sticker.

Maybe someone switched door panels with one that had power locks and your car isn't supposed to be equipped with them.

Make sure there's a wiring harness on the switch in the doors.

Thanks for the help,

I believe it is a power door lock car as I have the window sticker and it states the option, however the trunk sticker is gone. Also there is wiring for the switches going to the switches in the doors. I will check again and see if there is a screwhole. Someone did at one time put a keyless alarm on, so maybe they just cut out the relays (hope not!).

Thanks
Mike
