Power logger not connecting to lap top

I installed the power logger awhile back but just now hooked up my wideband to the power logger and I'm attempting to install the program on my laptop. I believe it installed correctly because my lap top shows the PL icon but during the last step it says to plug in USB from power logger into computer and turn ignition key on and wait for it to recognize the PL. It never recognizes the PL though. I have a small Acer lap top with windows 7 starter. Any ideas why my lap top would not be recognizing the PL?

I don't remember. But I think so.

Sams86gn needs to make sure he did or it won't connect.

I followed the steps in the link provided by Aminga and got it working, just had to press F8 to get it to start working. Thanks Aminga and Huntsg.
