Good day to everyone. Happy Holidays!

Quick question....

I am new to PL so i am a little confused. I can record on PL but can't save it to review at a later time. I can only review it as I am sitting in my car and PL is still attached. When I tried to save it it only saves as a dat format and I can't open it. It is the only selection offered. Can u recommend to me how to do this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

the answers are certainly contained in many threads here on the board.

But:

.dat is a generic filetype for data, used by many different kinds of programs. PLC does not "register" the filetype in Windows, as I wanted to keep the 'footprint' to a minimum (what I mean is there is no "installation", if you want to get rid of the program you can just delete it)

To review the file, open PLC and either use the load button (F3, L) on the F3 page, or you can drag the file onto the open PLC program and drop it.

Hope this helps.

No ...just have the program on the computer that you want to review it on . I have it on two of my computers.
