power plate and egr?

just got my power plate today. was reading the instructions and it says if the egr function is desired to drill a hole in the power plate. what has everyone that has bought a power plate normally do? what are the side effects of not having egr?

They say you need a chip made for no EGR.

I just went ahead and drilled it...I haven't had a problem.

do you need a chip that is burned for use with out egr or do you just need a different chip other than stock? i am prolly going to just drill it but am just wondering about the egr.

If you disable the EGR, then you need a chip burn for a car wth no EGR...If you keep EGR, then you can run any chip you want EGR or not (your preference).
