My drives seat is power. Works, but while moving either up/down, forward/back it is always pausing and clicking. Upon removing the seat to lube the tracks, I noticed a relay mounted on the front of the motor.

Is this still available and could it be the cause of my above symptoms?

Is there any way you can feel the relay while you're adjusting the seat to tell if it's the relay clicking? Do the clicks/pauses have a steady rhythm or are they more random? If they have a random pattern I'd guess it's an electrical problem such as the relay chattering, which could be a bad relay or a problem in the circuit going to the coil of the relay. If it's more of a steady pattern I would guess you have a problem in the gears in the power seat transmission.

jmidolo,

Just wondered if you ever got this problem ironed out...

Nope. It definitely is random and the relay is clicking. I'd say it's pretty good probability that it's bad. Now the question is, is it still available?

I'd check to make sure you're getting a good solid 12-13 volts to the coil on the relay first. If you have a worn power seat switch, bad ground, or otherwise bad continuity in the circuit somewhere that isn't allowing the relay coil to see adequate voltage, that can make the relay chatter too.
