Power steering reservoir cap

Probably a really simple answer, but how come my cap has reverse threads ? Is this an '87 thing ? Another TB owner local to me has an '86 and his is lefty loosy/righty tighty.

I have no answer for you but my 87T is reverse thread too.

I believe in 86 they had a problem with the reservoir so they replaced the reservoir to a reverse thread setup for the end of 86 and 87 to differentiate.

I read it in Pete Hoffmann guide to turbo Buick a while back. Everyone should have a copy of that book.

glad to know i'm not the only one. I saw some post last nite about an early reservoir something-er-other..... so i guess it was a 'thing'
