Powerlogger Freezes and Won't Record Runs

So I have been having issues with my Powerlogger freezing up and not recording runs. It connects and reads data fine but sometimes it will randomly go to review mode or when I'm recording data it will freeze and stop connecting. i will try to reconnect it (F8) and it will give me a "com open port 3 error" If I exit out and reopen the program I can reconnect. The software and drivers are up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your USB connection down on the PL is secure and on far enough. I had that issue once and the connection down there wasn't as secure as it needed to be.

It should be on far enough. Does the USB plug completely bottom out? As in you can't see any silver?

I had one unit that had weak connections in the USB connector on the PL, try wiggling the connector with the laptop connected and see if the connection drops.

Normally you can see some silver on the USB connector, even when its all the way in.

I tried wiggling the USB connector but it didn't drop the connection, however it did keep dropping the wideband input when I wiggled auxiliary cable.
