I have a question about the Scanmaster wiring connected to the powerlogger. I know that some electronic devices have a certain length of wiring to maintain frequency and voltage. Now after they reach that desired length, the signal begins to degradate. The primary disadvantage of analog signaling is that any system has noise – i.e., random unwanted variation. As the signal is copied and re-copied, or transmitted over long distances, these apparently random variations become dominant.

So what I am wanting to know is that " Can I extend my wiring from my Scanmaster to my Powerlogger so that I an not restricted to only on location in my car and having wires being pulled from all over Gods creation? Let me know if I can extend the lengths without effecting performance.... Power

Yes, you can lengthen the Scanmaster's data wire to reach the Powerlogger input board. I extended mine 4-5 ft.

I bet you take your scanmaster under the hood of the car..... That is what I was planning....
