Powerstroke intercooler Numbers

I was wondering, just power difference wise, if anyone took the time to get exact numbers from a stock intercooler and a powerstroke intercooler. Wondering if they have anything like quarter mile differences, hp gains, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like an inexpensive alterative but when you add up the time and expensies of locating pipes and connectors and hacking up your car to me the other's look way better. There are some new ones being sold on Ebay that look real nice too.

Apples to apples comparison can be somewhat difficult, at least I think. By the time the install is done, temp, humidity, etc etc has changed. Here is what I found.

I ran the same exact ET and MPH with two pounds less boost.

The larger intercooler and 3 inch pipes removed the restriction. That's about it. I spray alky so it's basically doing all the cooling for me. I would say about a 20hp gain.

You might have different numbers if you aren't spraying alky.
