Power Stroke I/C on EBAY

XXXDARKSIDEXXX

This is great that your always looking out for the Turbo Buick community. I just won a Power Stroke I/C new in the box today on EBAY but not the one you posted.

I just wanted to do something a little diffrent with my combo and see how it goes performance wise with the Power Stroke and maybe down the road leave a little positive feed back for everyone. I will let everyone know when it's completed and when I make my first test and tune runs. So stay tuned, as it will prolly be in about another month or so.

Otherwise, were did you get your plumbing done? Let me know as I would really like to get started on this project ASAP.

Regards,

Raymond

I got my piping done from a friend of mine's shop. A1 muffler in Santa Ana. I lost my highbeams on my install so watch ur messurements. I was only off by 1/2inch and it cost me my highbeams. Mount the IC as close to the radiator as u can so that the front clip will fit back on without hastle from the end tanks on the IC.

Thanks, I be sure to do what you suggest. I also did a lot of research last night on this project, and don't really forsee any big problems. It's just a matter of just getting in there and just doing it with a little knowledge and know how.

Thanks Again!

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to mount a PS intercooler where the radiator is and move the rad back a few inches. It would have the potential to be a really clean install without cutting the car up. Just a thought.

I also thought about this as well, and also think this would be a very clean install and probably easier.

Eitherway,

I will sit in front of my car tonight and come up with a good game plan to attempt to do it this way. I think the only thing that would hamper the install this way is that the oil and trans line will have to be shortend a few inches, no big deal really. It will look good when it's done and hope it performs just as well.

Well, it a no go. I will have to mount the PS I/C like everyone else has done in the past unless I shorten my radiator about 8 inches. And this is not really feasible at the time. Otherwise, it still will be a clean install as I will take my time on it. Still learning guys!:)

So you guys use this ic as your air to air intercooler or as a radiator cooler. Thanks for the help guys.

Power Stroke I/C

Hi ALL

Well, I just finished the install today and it turned out great. I will most likely head to the 1/8 mile track at Qualcom Stadium here in Sad Diego, Ca on Friday and see what she will do.

Before the PS/IC install my best time was a 8.036 @ 85 mph with a 1.9 60ft. My mods are THDP, single shot exhaust, Red Armstrong FP, hot wire, air bags, acufab FPR, 30 pnd inj, and BFG drag radials with Pro Stars all the way around. It also still had the front sway bar on!

In saying this, I will report the run times and see if there was any improvements overall with the combo above. I'm hoping for a
7.8-7.7 @ 87 mph as this is my main goal at this time. Well see:)

Then the mods begain:

I will be putting on my TE45a from Limit Engineering, Seimans 72's and modified ecm from Nick Micale, street chip from Neal Steward, and still waiting on my Precision 3600 stall converter from Nick Micale. I will also be getting the frame notched to accomidate a pair of 28x11.5-15 M/T ET Streets for the added traction.

My goal with this combo and a whole lot of tuning is to get one og the fastest times ever with a stock unopend engine. Of course I will have Neal Steward burn me a strip chip for this feat and will be running Trick Flow 114 or 118 octane;)

Otherwise fellas, it all about having fun and I'll let everyone know what happens. :D

Regards

Ray
