sad to read.. and prayers from me to your family also.

how did it happen if i may ask? i am on jet ski's somewhat frequently.

Thanks again for the prayers. The funeral was Thursday. There were a lot of people in attendance. It's nice to know that he and our family are so well thought of. The people in his fire company provided an Honor Guard and there were several other fire and rescue companies represented. Although the large amount of friends around have helped ease the pain it is when the crowds are gone that some of the worst hurt will come. When the noise and activity are quietend down and we find ourselves with time alone again is when we will have to count on God to heal the wounds and fill the void left. I lost a nephew who was more like a brother but my loss does not compare to what my brother and his wife are going through in the loss of their son so I ask that in these next few days to continue to remember them in prayer.

As far as the details of the accident, no one knows for sure. It just sort of happened. He was not new to riding jet skis but he had just bought this one about 3 weeks prior so inexperience may have played a part. It happened at about 7:00 p.m. He was coming out of a cove and struck a boat. They estimated that he was traveling at about 40 m.p.h. when he hit the boat and the jet ski went under it. He died from massive head and chest trauma. With it being that time of the day I don't know if glare off of the water made it difficult to see the boat until it was too late to avoid it or if he hit a wake and lost control. He may have just misjudged his turning distance. We will never know.
Once again, thanks friends.
Randy
