Hi. I have a weldon 2025 pump i will be installing and running E85 through. I am confused by the amount of selections of microns and filter composition and all that.

What filter do i need before and after the pump?

I think 100 micron before and something like 40 micron after but which brands are good and are having success? I do not want to be chasing ghosts again by putting something in wrong.

Thanks!

Yea I guess I could do that.

Of course, the mfgrs will suggest their parts.
You can use those recs and find the comparable parts at the supplier of your choice.
I use Aeromotive "stuff". A 100m before the pump won't impede flow, and a 10m after will keep the injs safe. The last filter in the line, the inj filter basket, is where I see most of the crud. [Assuming the other filters/tank are kept clean.]

I agree with Chuck, 100 micron pre-pump and 10 to 25 micron after pump. Both with stainless steel filter media.

I do believe 40 micron is smallest Aeromotive has and it will be fine for post pump applications.

Alot of filters only flow 150 GPH max which is under what my pump flows. This concerns me. I'll probably just get the weldon recommended filters that they guarantee work with the pump.

I don't think you can go wrong with their recommendation as long as they know you are running E85.

Call up kinsler.....explain what you are trying to do and they will get you sorted!! Their filters come in many sizes as well depending on where you are putting each filter :)

Fuellab has filters down to 6 microns- they recommended 75 before pump and a 40 after.

If filter does not have capacity to cover pump output, just install a "Y" in feed and use two filters. It is only money!
