Hey guys, I am putting a nozzle before my turbo (in my intake pipe between the filter and turbo), and am curious if I need a solenoid there to prevent siphoning? I know there is probobly a *LITTLE* vaccum there, but is it enough to cause problems?

Thanks for any advice.

Why are you putting the nozzle before the turbo?

What application?

Razor,
Its a non-intercooled application, so I am trying for one nozzle pre-turbo, and 2 nozzles post turbo, right before the TB elbow.

I beleve Lee Thompson is running a similar setup. My idea was that spraying one nozzle before the turbo would allow the Methanol MAX time to cool the air.

Any ideas on the siphoning issue?

Thoughts?

Thanks again.

Well.. the only time you may be in vacuum is when the turbo is pulling a lot of air. At that point you'r probably in boost and spraying anyways.

I know the concept of draw through setups whereby the fuel enters the turbo.. but this is using a carburator.. but I would just do the nozzles after turbo.. and using a MAT sensor watch your temps and make decisions. Your putting the cart before horse.. single nozzle after turbo will probably be all you need.

The more you engineer this stuff.. the worse it can sometimes be. I've heard of liquid hitting the blades and shearing them off.. figure theyre spinning 80,000-100,000 rpms and a drop hits it..

My statement is speculation.. since i've never shot alcohol pre-turbo.
