Hey Guys,

Just looked at PTE,s new website, (nice site). Was looking through the new list of turbos. Was wondering if anyone can tell me about the CEA turbos (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) and besides HP is there any different between CEA or the regular turbos? (Hope I stated that question clear enough).

yep do a search on billet wheel turbos.... should be many, many threads and opinions:cool:

Precision Turbo and Engine: Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA) Compressor Wheels

We call it “Competition Engineered Aerodynamics”. You’ll call it “fast”.

Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA): Precision Turbo & Engine’s exclusive line of CNC-machined, 2618-forged aluminum compressor wheels which are specifically designed for maximum performance. Cutting-edge technology is used to provide greater efficiency and faster transient response which results in less turbo lag than traditional cast wheels of the same size. CEA wheels are also known for making significantly more power without sacrificing weight or cost.

Advantages of PTE’s CEA Compressor Wheels:
• Greater efficiency
• Faster transient response (less turbo lag)
• Capable of handling higher boost pressure
• Weigh less than similarly sized traditional cast wheels
• Result in lower temperatures than conventional wheels

Often Imitated - Never Replicated

Precision Turbo & Engine was the first to develop a complete, innovative line of turbochargers featuring the highly successful CNC-machined Competition Engineered Aerodynamics (CEA) 2618 forged aluminum compressor wheels which are specifically designed for maximum performance.

Although others are copying our designs and calling it their own, you can trust that Precision is already planning for your future needs and will always keep you well ahead of the competition.

Precision’s turbochargers featuring the new CEA wheels are a great option for racers who want to make more power without having to sacrifice weight or cost!

I'm dreaming of a billet 6768 ceramic ball bearing.... drool.....

John,
Thanks for the clarification.

Cliff Notes version:
Stronger, lighter, faster and higher pressure ratios.
I heard Harry was sending me a 6466 to try.
That might have just been a dream though...

New Billet wheel turbos make more horepower period. I have 2 PTE units and they are more powerful than their cast wheel counterparts.
