Looking at buying a Precision TE44 turbo, and on the site it says it requires a specific wastegate actuator for bolt-on compatibility. I have a Turbonetics DeltaGate Mark II wastegate already mounted, but I'm wonder if that will work or if I need to upgrade it. Additionally, does that turbo mount in the stock spot and do I need upgraded hardware and connections for it?

im running a te44 with a standard adj wastgate rod with no issues, and dont see why that external gate would be an issue, and that te44 i am about to sell because im going 6262 bb, let me know if want to possibly buy it, regards rob

the reason it mentions the wastegate is the stock wastegate ,which was meant for the stock "TA" style turbo ,does not bolt right up to the te44 because the TE compressor cover has a different bolt spacing . to run a stock style wastegate going from a TA to TE you need to either by an actuator set up for TE style or for the diy guys.. drill and weld the stock gate to a TE compressor cover support bar or get an adapter bar from one of the vendors that uses short studs welded on a TE support bar

with external gate theres no issue except for the normal porting the exhaust housing to match your pipe if needed
