I'm getting ready to change my pressure switch, I've unplugged it and pumped the brakes to take any pressure off the acumulator. Is there any thing else I need to be aware off,or do so it is removed safley. Also my factory tach and boost gage are off,and I don't mean by a little. At 45 mph I'm taching 4400 rpms,at idle it reads 2400.I can rev the motor a little and the boost gage shows I'm getting 7 to 8 lbs. of boost.Could this have any affect on engine perfomance. Thanks for any help.

The factory gauges are notoriously inaccurate.

It will not affect performance. You should definitely get an aftermarket boost gauge. Aftermarket tach is nice too, Scanmaster will show RPM as will some laptop based scan tools.

got an aftermarket boost gage was just curious,I knew they were inaccurate, but i haven't heard anybody say about them being that far off. Thanks

My tach works just like yours

at 55mph yours is at red line? Thanks for the info.

I have no idea because I don't pay attention to the thing. Scanmaster shows idle around 800rpm and the stock tach shows 2,000+....and it doesn't get any better from there. My stock boost gauge is surprisingly accurate though. I think somebody offers a circuit board or something to fix the stock junk if you want to ask around. Caspers maybe

thanks for the input,I had to ask, I'm gonna buy aftermarket gages and just ignore the factory gages. Thanks again,Scott
